Really friendly service, the hotel was very clean and well maintained. The AC worked really well in our room. The pool and gym facilities are clean and ample, we enjoyed both a swim/hot tub and a workout. The breakfast buffet was excellent in the morning, tasty food and great choices! Well done

The hotel itself is ok. But, when we booked, the room rate said 110 a night about right for this hotel( I travel a lot). With fees, 168??? To top it off, apparently even though we thought we were on the actual hotel site when we booked, the desk clerk said they use a service, so the 168 is in us funds.
Definitely not worth 168 USD.
Be aware. I really feel cheated. What a bunch of scammers.

it was inexpensive 130$ for 1 night me and wife with an infant breakfast was actually pretty good none of that lame continental stuff it was a real breakfast and the guys at the reception was very friendly and helpful he was hispanic awesome guy he deserves a raise.

Honestly i was expecting a lot worse when i saw the reviews. The room wasnt too bad! Had tv, the bathroom was nice and the bed is pretty comfortable besides the bedsheets and pillows not being the greatest. The room isnt very very clean like a high end hotel but its what you should expect staying at a motel! The room felt muggy when entering since we didn’t keep the ac on while we were out. Some things i would improve though is getting better besheets and pillows, cleaning could be a bit better and upgrade the lamp in the room. The tv might be low quality but the things are live to the point where its faster then your phone which helped me watch the formula 1 race this weekend. I was really worried and my expectations were low comming into the hotel but overall i would stay here again considering the price was very good for the long weekend and there was an extremely good Donut shop just across the street which also allow you to walk in the line if you dont have a car! 75/100

Even tho I came in late at 1am and they close at 2am. Everyone was still so pleasant and sweet, and served with a smile (assuming they were smiling under the mask.) Service was great. Just shows no matter your schedule as long as you make it in an hour before closing, they welcome you with open arms.
And sorry if me coming in that time causes frustration and you having to force a smile on your face.

One of our (me and wife) favourite places!!

The perogie pizza is great!! And the options for different types of wings was impressive!

Our bill for 2 of us with a pizza, 2 appetizers and 2 drinks each was almost $100, which isn’t cheap, but nonetheless it is a great place

The ABSOLUTELY the slowest Tim hortons on the earth. It would bin faster to fly to Columbia and have Juan Valdez make me a coffee then wait in this drive through at this location, it took so long I needed a hair cut bye the time I got my coffee. I looked like vin disel going in , then looked like Gandalf by the time I got out.

This site seems to do it all. From Covid tests and voting to hockey and lacrosse. Nice snack bars and a clean seating area. One of the larger arenas in the region that is clearly marked with lots of parking.

My daughter is trying to get through the painful online course. It is brutally slow. It is supposed to be a 30 hr course but I’m not exaggerating when I say this will take triple the time. It’s insane! I would not recommend anyone take the online course. Each page takes minutes to load, and there is very little information per page, so all your time is spent waiting. Also, it’s not easy to get a hold of anyone. I have called and left many messages that do not get returned. Not impressed at all. I wish I could get my money back.

The online component of this training is the worst. Extremely slow, does not always save progress, and frequent log in issues. Either go somewhere else or wait till in class lessons can resume

I’ve never been disappointed by this Pizza Pizza. The crust is great, the sauce and cheese always consistent and the toppings are fresh. It’s way above other Pizza chains in terms of taste and price.The customer service is friendly and prompt.

The walk in special they have is one of the best pizza deals in town, in my opinion. Highly recommend this place for a quickly slice.

Workers were racist and watch and stand right next to you as you are picking strawberries! It only happen to my family because we are Chinese. I made a comment and he walked away. All the other Caucasian family’s were left alone to freely pick. He even came back with a bunch of strawberry in his hands and offered to us. So he can rush us off the farm quickly I presume. We came for the experience of picking our own strawberries. Why would we want him to pick it for the us? Wrote to the email on their website and not even a reply back! Very unprofessional indeed. Will never come back again.

Update: right after this review went up they of course wrote back to me on email. How convenient.. For two weeks they didn’t reply to my email and then all of sudden when this review went up they wrote back right away. They asked me to remove this review because according to them they hire all races of workers from all over the world….

My friend came for picking fun but instead she was treating discriminated. She was treated differently because of she looked like an Asian. However, this farm stated that they are not racist because they hired workers from all around the world. Interesting! Most racists defense themselves with, oh! My partner is Asian or I have lots of Asian friends. How could I be racist?

New pricing doesn’t warrant quality received. If and when they go back to their weekly specials example 12.99 Wednesday Pasta special there is no incentive to return. Other restaurants in the area are offering specials for a lot less. How much of all you can eat soup.or salad can you eat. For prices being charged for food and drinks I can eat at a 4 star restaurant in the Durham area.

Let me tell you… I would go simply to see Lucy! Saying she was phenomenal tonight would be an understatement! She anticipated our needs before had to ask, the food was hot AND delicious! Honestly, I’d love to give this store 0 stars. The first time I went in to purchase an item, the employees were condescending and rude. I just attempted a return today and was told “we’re not allowed to do returns until lockdown is done “. No I’m sorry, etc. Rest assured I WILL NOT ever set foot in this establishment again AND I will make sure I tell all my friends and family about what happened and make sure they don’t ever go there either!!!!! Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

Just yesterday I came to the Bowmanville store to buy and pick up the cellphone case. Of course I phoned them and confirmed the price of product which I need before I came there.
But I couldn’t believe it what happened there.
One male employee showed it and asked to 50 dollars. So I explained some female told me it was 30 dollars just 15 min ago. He said it is up to you. That was horrible experience. Actually the price of that is 14.99 in Amazon Canada. Ireally

My husband catered this for my birthday on August 6. Recommended portion sizing was perfect for our guests. Food was DELICIOUS even though we had to reheat ourselves. Tasted like it was just made. This was one of the only bbq places offering cornbread and let me tell you it did not disappoint. We got many compliments on how good the food was. Will be back for sure and will definitely consider this as top choice for my next event!!

5 weeks now Myself and my doctors have been trying to get me and other patients in, all now, its oh there’s appts first, then its the waiting room/ lobby is full, you have to wait till this time in the day for walk ins, you come back and oh its full.
I had 3 appts. One was double booked, another was canceled not by me or doctors. And 3rd one I show up my names not on the appt sheet.
5 weeks and I cannot get in to get blood/machine work Like my doctors said they could have more people in the waiting room with masks on. they are becoming as slow and behind as the very lab they bought out . All now haven’t gotten in and its been 5 weeks. My doctor said its not only me its many patients that still haven’t gotten in and they were sent for blood a month ago. They need to get back to speeding things up so they can get everyone in and caught up.

Other doctors gave up and have to have patients go to other regions because bowmanville is to slow.if they moved faster like before they could get more people in the door and out.

Walked in today and they were able to fit me in. Need to have a bunch of blood test done due to pregnant. Took them a bit of time to prepare, and it was almost closing time, but they were very nice, one of the staff came in and explained the reason for my long waiting time. Then I kinda dozed off(fainted I think) in the middle of the blood drawing process, they responsed immediately, I heard they called me, one staff fanned for me, one put the ice bag behind my neck, then I slowly regained my concious. They offered me water. After I drank the water, I finally feel back to normal. Then they made sure I was ok before they can continue to process the blood drawing process. Instead of sitting, they moved me to laying down on bed for the rest of the process. and for sure they escorted me to the bedding room, made sure that I wouldn’t fell. After finished blood drawing, the staffs stayed with me, and said they would wait until my husband came and picked me up. This was way passed their closing time, they were still very patience and made sure I was ok before I left. Thank you so much for such nice care to me, and sorry to make you all stayed late today. All of you are great.
For all of you who is getting blood test, make sure you drink lot of water before your visit, I didn’t drink a lot water before my visit and am pregnant may be the reasons I fainted

I had a bad experience with the front desk, I came in the morning to book an appointment for myself, my sister and my wife, the lady told us the appointment is booked and instructed us that we can all come together. So we came and a lady said the other lady only booked appointments for 2 people, and now the last person has to come back sometime later. How does that make sense. Your employee did not do their job well and we have to suffer for that???

A friend of mine had her AC unit break down and needed replacement parts. A Comfort Shoppe Employee just happened to be working on another residents home when I decided to approach him to ask some routine troubleshooting questions. Not only did the Employee Answer my questions but even provided me with some tips on what the issue was and how to fix it myself. I was able to save my friend a lot of money and I truly appreciate the helpfulness he provided. Her AC is running smoothly now and I can 100% guarantee if there is a future issue with my AC or any of my friends that I will be recommending The Comfort Shoppe. A Good Samaritan if I have ever met one. Thank you.

Called up these guys for AC inspection. The technician stoppedby and just opened the outside compressor to check and did a rough clean on some parts of the coil, said the pressure was low and would require the AC to be replaced and charged $150 for that 10 minutes. No receipt/summay sheet of the work done. Definitely not going back or recommending anyone.
